USE EFFICIENCY COURSE STRUCTURE
USE EFFICIENCY course will be included within the Master in Energy Technologies for Sustainability in the subject Energy Audits.
Course will be 200 hours long and it will be awarded with 3 credits, organized with the following structure:
- 8 Lectures (2 hours each)
- 2 Practice Labs (2 hours each)
- 5 Sessions of Problems and Cases (2 hours each)
- Continuous Training Session to carry out during the 2nd Level Audit (150 hours). Audits will be carried out in 4 groups of 10 students each.
The course will be taught from February to June 2011
Lectures: 2 hours per day
LECTURE 1 (Feb. 8th): Energy Performance Building Directive (EPBD)
LECTURE 2 (Feb. 15th): Audit Criteria
LECTURE 3 (Feb. 22th): Minimum content of an energy audit in buildings
LECTURE 4 (Mar. 1st): Information Collection. Questionnaire. Interviews
LECTURE 5 (Mar. 8th): Energy Balance.
LECTURE 6 (Mar. 15th): Load Curve Analysis.
LECTURE 7 (Mar. 22th): Energy Savings and Emissions Evaluation
LECTURE 8 (Mar. 29th): Customer Issues
Labs: 2 hours per day
LAB 1 (Apr. 19th) Building Energy Audit Software (CALENER & EPA)
LAB 2 (Apr. 26th) Measurement Equipments for auditing
Field Work: 150 hours for the 2nd Level Audit
